Poop!

Yeah...awesome title huh? But that is the topic of this post so sit back and get ready for a lot of poop talk :) So for the last week or 2 we have been working on Aiden being aware of when he poops and making it sound like a good thing. My mom and I figured that is one step in the right direction of potty training someday. Some days he says poop, and he has, but he sees it as a reason to run in the other direction so he doesn't have to get changed. Other days he says it and nothing is in his diaper which makes me hope that he knows he has to poop and that would be a good thing, but who knows. But today shortly after he woke up he walked up to me and said poop with excitement. I asked "Did you poop?" and he said "yeah" and held up his arms. We went and changed him with no chasing, wiggling, or fighting. Jason and I made a big deal about it and told him what a good boy he was so hopefully this becomes a habit which will maybe turn into having to poop and not just that he pooped. Maybe. I'm not going to get ahead of myself. Potty training could be a nightmare, who knows! So that's all for the poop talk....hope you enjoyed a snippet of the topics of our everyday life around here. Ah...the joys of parenthood.....

This is very funny. Did you know that Freud actually cited potty training as either a good or bad indicator of how the child will turn out? No pressure! He's already recognizing "something's" going on, so that's half the battle.
