Home again, home again....

We are home again after 2 weeks back east. Last year I was so good about blogging "on the road" but it just didn't happen this year. I got one in and then....yeah...too much going on. It also didn't help that Aiden was less than cooperative. He really started to show the terribleness of his twos right as we started this vacation. He wasn't AWFUL but he was challenging. Not to mention, how do you start a discipline plan on vacation when you are traveling from one place to the next? We were on planes and then in the car for long periods of time then all kinds of different restaurants....it was a lot. He has started to swat and yell when things don't get his way. He likes to yell "no" really loud when you say no to him. He will knock things off tables when he gets mad. Don't get me wrong, I am not sitting here thinking I was going to get out of this stage....I just wish he would have held off a couple weeks so we could be home and not in front of family that hasn't seen him in a year. It was lots of pressure and many embarrassing moments. Who wants to feel like they're parenting on stage for everyone to watch and potentially judge? Bad timing...that's for sure. So anyways, now that I complained a little let's get to the good stuff. We had lots of fun, saw lots of family and Aiden was good (and of course cute!) in between the tantrums and yelling. I'll spend the next few days recapping the trip, post by post. Hopefully it doesn't take too long :)
