The 4th of July (a week later)

I got so wrapped up in blogging vacation I slacked on the present...my bad! We spent the fourth of July lazing around the house most of the day and then finally scraped ourselves off the couch to hang out with my mom and Clayton that night. We were counting on fireworks at Fort McDowell Casino only to find out they had shot them off on Friday and Saturday. Um, seriously?!?! Yeah, that totally makes sense...people come out of their houses every year on the 4th to watch fireworks so let's mix it up and do it on the 2nd and 3rd....dumb. So we didn't see fireworks which was kind of a bummer because I wanted to see Aiden's reaction, but that's okay because we all hung out and were together. Plus, Aiden got to wear his 4th of July outfit and awesome Lightning McQueen shoes that Gma and Gpa Rowe got him (they "vroom" and light up)! Aiden likes to try on my Mom's reading glasses...I think he'll look way cute in glasses if that day ever comes.
