The sippy cup is gone and there's nothing like quitting cold turkey. Learning yesterday that they don't allow them in school leaves us with no other choice. On the way into school this morning Aiden had his first lesson on using a water fountain. As if they are some new invention! It was one thing to tally a point for bad parenting when my almost 4 year has no idea on how to use a cup, but it was another when I was having to teach water fountain drinking because it would be his only way of getting water until he learned to drink from a cup. Reality slapping us in the face. The drinking fountain worked out at school during the day but it was tonight that we buckled down and practiced the cup. We tried all kinds of drinks and every cup we had (all 6) so that he enjoyed the process of practice, practice, practice.
He's got it down and I am very confident that he will be able to drink his milk from a cup tomorrow during lunch...as well as use the drinking fountain!
