Family Complete

The wait started Monday evening when a planned induction doesn't really end up being as planned as you might imagine. They said Monday night but didn't give me a time, so what they really mean is wait by the phone and get no rest waiting for that phone to ring. It wasn't until MY second phone call at around 1:30 am where they said call at 6 am and we'll see if you can head in at 7. Um...ok...I wish I had known that so I could have actually slept. I call at 6 and they say, yeah go ahead and come in...why couldn't we have just told me this time (which ends up actually being TUESDAY) from the get go?! Anyways, we head to the hospital and get checked in and set up in our room. Things started out pretty uneventful but by about noon they had started the pitocin and after that things moved kind of slowly for a bit as I enjoyed contractions. I had my dream team present...Jason, Ashley, and Mom as they sat and kept me company and even had me laughing. At around 5 my doctor finally came and checked me and broke my water and it seemed to go from 0 to 60, or should I say 5 to 10 centimeters, really quick.
I got my epidural...thank you! And then before I knew it they were calling for Dr. Stephens and Caylee was born at 7:30 pm.
My dad brought Aiden by shortly after so that he could meet his little sister for the first time...
Then they took her to finally get her weight, measurements, footprints and get cleaned up.
