Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day started off late (read: I got to sleep in!) and we just relaxed at home. One of coolest things that happened and the best Mother's Day gift was I watched my son put together a puzzle all by himself. I know it's not CNN worthy or anything but a huge deal to me. I was so proud and beside myself because I had never seen him do it all by himself. I was sitting like a lazy blob on the couch getting myself caught up on Grey's Anatomy and all of a sudden I realize what is happening in front of me. I play it cool so he doesn't stop and grab my phone as I documented the rest of the puzzle until the last piece. I'll admit it, I cried when he was done. It was amazing to me.  He loved that I was being crazy over it too.

Once the lazy wore off and I got ready for the day, we went and did some shopping and then got food (and wine!) together.
