Goodbye (See You Soon) Party!

My best friend Anne. I was lucky enough to start working with her about 7 years ago and then we've kind of been inseparable ever since. We were first year teachers together, she was my rock and party girl when Jason went to Korea, we continued that party when he got home, she was there when I found out I was pregnant and stayed by my side, she's loved my son like her own family, we've gotten her married, and all the while been my best friend and colleague at work. I really couldn't ask for more. The crappy thing is we will have to do this thing with thousands of miles in between us now. Mike and Anne have been stationed in Boston for the next 3-4 years. It sucks. She leaves next week and last night was their goodbye party. It really isn't goodbye so much as see you soon, but knowing how less often it will be kills me. I will miss many things, like work talks and happy hours but know that we are only phone calls and plane rides away. I am already planning to go in July to see her and am excited to see new things. I am excited for her to travel and see new things and hope that 4 years will go by quickly and they'll get back here soon. I love you Annie! I will miss you! xoxo
