Happy Birthday Aiden!

My absolute favorite picture of the day! This actually ended the day and was my very last picture but I feel like it is the essence of a birthday so I want it first! Our little munchkin is 2 years old. I can't believe it! Jason and I took today off to spend the day with him. We started at a quick and uneventful doctors appointment where we were told he was still 50th percentile in both weight (28lbs) and height (33 and 3/4 inches) and that he was good to go. Sweet. After, we took him shopping to see of there were any toys he just "had to have" but we left with a book. His choice :) Then....off to the zoo! Our boy loves animals and marine life so the zoo and the aquarium seemed like the best way to spend his day. We started at lunch time so we sat in the aquarium restaurant in front of the shark tank....awesome. Aiden enjoyed for a bit but then still decided to remind us that he is indeed 2! Lunch was not as peaceful as we thought the aquarium would have made it...but o-well.

We headed out into the heat (what were we thinking?!) and hung out with the different animals. We were one of probably 4 families there that day so we had the zoo to ourselves and just enjoyed the animals.

It was seriously hot but Aiden really enjoyed the animals and that's all that matters. When we got home we were able to open his presents from his Grandma and Grandpa Rowe that had been sitting on the counter for days (it was killing me more than Aiden lol).

We ended the night with a cupcake, candle, and "Happy Birthday" and I am assuming he went to bed as a happy little toddler.
