"Shishies!"

At least that is what Aiden calls them. He loves fish and marine life...and any animals really. We decided to check out the new aquarium at Arizona Mills today. It was pretty busy but it was a nice aquarium and Aiden enjoyed all the "shishies" and "shock" (sharks) that they had. They asked that there was no flash photography at all so the pictures aren't the best but o-well. Aiden got pumped up for the aquarium by watching some dolphin shows on the computer before we left.

When we got there we had to wait in line for a while but Aiden was so excited and kept talking about the fish and shark pictures on the building and walls. Once we got inside he was sneaking a peek in the little windows.

 

When we got inside the aquarium there were all kinds of tanks with fish, sharks, rays, starfish, and more. He wouldn't touch the starfish in the touch tank but he was able to see them closely.

Throughout the aquarium they had viewing bubbles that would go up into a tank so that you could view the fish closer. Aiden didn't really like the idea but I went in with him on one and he didn't mind it too much. Jason took a picture from the outside and then Aiden got a kick out of us taking video of Jason from in there. Aiden was saying "Hi shishie" and then "Hi Dada"...It was pretty cool.

Here I was trying to get a picture of the boys...I said, "Say cheese"...they both go "Cheeeeeese" but then they both look up as a sting ray passes over us. This is what I got...

They of course emptied us out at the gift shop and we bought Aiden a set of marine animals. He has had lots of fun with them tonight so it seems like we made a worthwhile purchase!

 

We had a fun day and thanks to Labor Day we still get to have one more day of fun! Yay!
