Sadness
Earlier this year in April I found out that a student I had 2 years ago was diagnosed with brain cancer. It didn't look good but they went ahead with everything they needed to do...radiation, chemo, the whole nine yards in an effort to beat it. Today I found out that they couldn't and it took his life at 10 years and 1 month old. Sadness. It is heart breaking not only as a teacher that taught that sweet little boy and knew the amazing potential he had, but as a mother of a son myself. Hearing the details of his last days has me crying and feeling so much pain for his mother and family. That is just not the order of things and it is pure sadness. He was greatly loved and he will be greatly missed.
