The theme this year was Blues Clues. Aiden's current favorite. Jason continued with the tradition of making Aiden's cake this year and he put in A LOT of work. Between the baking the night before and the decorating the next day, he put in a good 12 hours or more.
With the expertise of our "Cake Boss" watching (we watch it a lot!), YouTube videos, and going to an actual cake supply store....we really had high expectations. It was rough and at one point it was close to going in the trash but he hung in there and came out swinging. The cake looked amazing!!!

Then it was time to party!!! We partied Dave and Busters style of course. We had so many family and friends come to celebrate Aiden's birthday and he is such a lucky boy. The best part was I didn't have to clean up! ha ha! Actually, in all honesty, the best part was having 20 people we love come together to celebrate the birth of this great little boy. Plus, we should celebrate the fact that I haven't rung his neck yet too! At his own birthday party (before everyone got there and once during too) he was sent to time out...maybe this makes me a mean mom but it isn't good practice to throw things at your parents...I don't care if you are 2 and it is your birthday. At one point he even sat himself in the time out corner. We were all joking that maybe he knew that would be result so he just took it upon himself. It was funny.
This video will give you a great visual reminder that we were celebrating the birthday of a 2 year old. It was comical.
