I bought these outfits at the end of September with the full intention of going and getting professional pictures of the kids done for this year's card. Did anyone else have Christmas sneak up on you?! December 20th got here, Christmas cards were arriving in the mail, and mine were not even made let alone in the mail. A little stressful. I decided that I was going to do it myself because how hard could it be?! Ha! Now that's a story! Aiden's attention span is small, Caylee's 6 months, and I have animals. I took over 50 pictures! It was crazy...I am yelling and making crazy noises to get her to not only look at me but also get her to smile, also trying to get Aiden to smile a smile that doesn't look forced at the same time, just about the time that BOTH animals show up behind me to distract Caylee and she starts to try crawl away. It was a circus. Jason came home from work towards the end of this craziness and tried to help get some shots and then finally asked me what I had gotten so far...as we went through the camera Jason couldn't believe the good shots I already had. Amidst my determination for the perfect picture I only focused on the blurs, overexposures, mispositions, and missing smiles from one or the other. So, I may have tortured my children for smiles for a little longer than I should have. oops. Needless to say, the kids were stripped of their outfits immediately and were released from my photography grips. In the end, I love our Christmas card and now I have a comical story and a slew of outtakes. Merry Christmas and thank God for my patient children.
