Taking Bailey to get groomed this weekend found us making an impulse buy in Petsmart. We are hanging by the snakes and Aiden says, "Let's get one" I say, "No way, if we were to get anything in a cage we'd get a hamster" so Aiden replies, "Okay let's get a hamster" and then one thing led to another, they were so cute, Jason is a softy, so we had ourselves a new family member. And yes, his name is Hamster. Original huh? We went through a nice list of options...Funny face, Batman, Cheeks, Boogerhead, Pocoyo, and Hammy...however, Aiden went right back to Hamster and so we leave it. I had hamsters (dozens) as a kid so it is a nice flashback for me and nice to experience it all with Aiden. Hamster puts on a real good show, always comes out and eats, drinks, runs on his wheel, or climbs upstairs when we come in and talk to him. Aiden has been so cute with him by making sure when we are leaving or in between activities saying, "Okay but let me go check on my hamster first!" This should all be a lot of fun and hopefully I don't regret it!
