I found out I was nominated by 2 of my colleagues and then chosen "Staff Member of the Month" by our Faculty Committee. It's the small things like this that give you a little pick me up. I got this certificate, a pretty plaque, and a parking spot up front for the rest of the month. To some maybe not a big deal, but to me it meant a lot to know that even one person took the time to write what they did. I feel like I have worked hard this year so far and even the smallest amount of appreciation can go a long way.
