They are good!

I knew I had amazing friends. I mean truly amazing. But they really out did themselves last night when they gave me a night that will be one of my greatest memories. I have never been thrown a surprise party before and ultimately never thought I would. Anne and I planned a me and her night...made total sense while she was here. It was the perfect cover. She wanted to go to a specific place that was one of our favs and since she was visiting and hadn't gone yet, again, made total sense. Plus I love the wine there. All the while some of my greatest friends were pooled together waiting. When we got there it was pretty busy. Anne asked me if I wanted to go the bar and I said sure...as she headed that way she starts saying maybe we could go to the back room where I see a bunch of stuff that looks like there is an event going on in there (mine!). She kept walking and I remember thinking, Anne stop we can't go back there, that's embarrassing. But then everyone yelled surprise. I can't really explain the feeling in words. It was overwhelming. I cried. I cried hard. So many important people were there. I hugged everyone and cried some more. I saw the beautiful "We will miss you sign" with all these amazing pictures Jessica and Anne took the time to steal off my blog and put together. They made "Open When.." envelopes for me and then we all sat down for a painting session. It was the coolest thing ever. The best part was we learned how to paint an Arizona sunset so I would have one to take with me forever. It was special. I'll never forget it. More people came by as the night progressed to say goodbyes and have a drink or 2. It was an absolute blast and I feel blessed beyond words. Thank you to all of my amazing friends that I can also say are my colleagues. I work with my friends and that is pretty cool. You are my people and I will miss you terribly. That is what makes this move so hard. Anne and Jessica...for your time and efforts to make this come together...there aren't enough thank yous in the universe. Love you guys so much!
