Then we dropped half of the family back at home and Jimmy, Terry, Jason, Vicki, and I headed to the Kohl's sale at midnight. The line was LOOOOONG but it moved quickly outside and (surprisingly) inside.
After the success at Kohls we made the mistake of heading into Target. Not good. We picked up a few good deals and the line snaked through the store to check out. The problem was that we didn't realize the degree as to which the check out line was snaking. It was going up and down, back and forth through aisles all the way through store. Once we got to the front of the store we thought we were in the home stretch....uh no, we come to find out they continued to snake the customers down the opposite direction and then back up before getting to registers. However, at this point we had already gone so far and couldn't imagine giving up now. It was horrible but we made it through. When we got back to pick up Aiden around 3AMish he had just fallen asleep. He can go-go-go and I'm pretty sure that Papa and Uncle Sean were not expecting the energizer bunny. We very much appreciated them staying up and watching him, he would not have been helpful in our hour long lines. We were done with our Black Friday event and in bed by about 4AM. I have to admit, I liked the whole staying up and shopping through the night rather than waking up at the butt crack of dawn to do it. I'm not a morning person. It would make me more willing to attempt the adventure next year. I guess we'll see.
