What's Been Going On?

Life is pretty uneventful around here...doing the same old routine with the exception being Aiden's communication. Everyday it seems he gets closer and closer to talking and it is so fun to hear him jibber jabber and come up with "conversation". I started a list of his words/sounds at the 18 month post. Here are some we can add...
  • ball is the major one...any thing round is a ball
  • bye-bye (we upgraded from "bah" and he even waves with it)
  • wa for water
  • wo for phone
  • tee for TV and tree
  • fah for flower
  • boo for balloon

He can makes these sounds...they are inconsistent, but they happen :)

  • He buzzes for a bee
  • He makes a woof sound for a dog
  • he can baa when he sees a sheep
  • And he does the AH, AH, AH for the Count on Sesame Street...too cute!
  • When I have to yell at the dog to calm down and go lay down, Aiden will make the sound of stay or sit and say it at the dog with me...it's hilarious.

Speaking of Bailey....he loves him :)On a not-so-good-parenting note...my kid can be a TV zombie at times. He loves Sesame Street of course and Nick Jr. (formally known as Noggin) and doesn't tire of the Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba, Olivia, Dora and more. I will say they are the most educational choice, well at least that makes me feel better. He's not watching all hours of the day or anything, but they do give me a chance to get some chores done when the time is needed.

I walked in and saw him enjoying his show as he lounged on a hard marble table...so weird.

Aiden likes to play with the swiffer. I hope he likes to use it the right way some day and give me some help around here :)

Bath time is always fun. I always wanted this cliche picture! He is too cute and it will be the one I show his girlfriend someday or something. haha.
Bath time also lends for some great conversation with the man...here are some videos...

Aiden demands to be told what things are...especially when reading at bed time. I finally was able to get Jason to videotape one night and it is just hilarious to watch him. At the beginning of this one he makes the sound for Count and then you hear how he yells over me until I tell him what he is pointing at.

In addition to the yelling at me, at the beginning of this video he pointed to a ball when I asked him to and then he makes the buzzing sound for a bee...so cute :)

Here he makes the sound for Count again...

And more demands....he makes me laugh...
