In Loving Memory

My Grandma lived a long life and was a wonderful woman. I hadn't seen her since 2006, which is something that saddens me. I should have made it to Iowa again. I wish Aiden would have met her. Her memory faded in the recent years but I always knew how proud she was of me and Ashley. I have many great memories of my grandma but the time we spent at her and grandpa's house will forever be the best of them. The time spent in her basement with my cousins and our make believe restaurant, her upstairs/attic where we slept, the sound of the creaking stairs, the smells that came from the small kitchen each morning, and the amazing front and back lawns that gave us many hours of play. I sat and told Aiden a little bit about her and he asked, "What did she sound like?" I'll miss her voice...I have missed her voice. I'll miss her. I take comfort knowing she is with Grandpa again and that she is happy, pain free, and Home. I love you Grandma.
