Zoo time

Today is the last day of my vacation. Boo. When I woke up I decided that the family should spend some of the day at the zoo. Why not? It was a beautiful day and it was nice to walk around and enjoy the animals that we have come to watch grow. I realized today that just because we go so often doesn't really take the fun out of it or make me appreciate it any less. We saw things today that I haven't seen in a while or even at all. The monkeys were playing at their best and very interactive, we saw baby lions that used to be so tiny and are are now getting so big, we made it in time for the penguin feeding, most of the animals seemed awake (even the rhino was walking around!), and I even saw a snake eat a rat....gross you say? Maybe. However, I realized today that I had actually never seen it in real life. Videos yes, but real life? No. It was really cool for all of us. There was also the usual feeding of ducks, swans, and giraffes but it continues to be fun and Aiden loved every minute. One of the best lines today was when a jaguar was walking back and forth and it made a sound that sounded like a sneeze, I said "bless you" to the jaguar to be nice, and Aiden goes, "Bless you, do you need a tissue?" Too cute. I took some pictures and even Aiden got some in too.
