3 Years Old!!!!!

Today:

Our Little Guy is 3 years old today! Just can't believe how much he has grown. He has gained a couple pounds and finally hit 3 feet tall. However, according to the doctor he falls in the 19th percentile of height so Jason is a bit worried he'll be short. I think we have time before stressing about that but we'll see. He is getting smarter everyday and realizing his control over just about everything. He is still not potty trained. Does that make us bad parents? Don't answer that. haha. We've tried, I swear. He refuses. I mean, absolutely wants nothing to do with it and acts like using the potty is torture. We've tried different approaches and none seem to be the magic we are hoping for. We'll get it someday, I promise. He is a roller coaster when it comes to eating...one day eating often and well, the other day rarely and crappy. You just never know. Everyday is interesting. He says all kinds of funny things these days and conversation with him is a highlight of my day. Here was a funny little convo:

Bailey: BARK (from outside)
Me: (doing dishes) Aiden honey, can you let Bailey in?
Aiden: (at his table playing his DS) No.
Me: Aiden, please.
Aiden: No Mom, you need to do it.
Me: But Aiden I'm doing the dishes right now.
Aiden: Oh, OK (and then he went and let the dog in)

It made me laugh because the way he said it was like "well as long as you have a reason" because had I not been doing the dishes he probably would have stood his ground. There are so many entertaining little things that come out of his mouth. I think I'm going to try to start posting more. Maybe it can be segments of "Aiden Says the Darndest Things" or "The Aiden Chronicles"....I'll come up with something. He keeps us busy and makes everyday a blessing and challenge all at the same time. He surely is an amazing boy and we are so lucky. Happy Birthday my baby boy, even though I know you're not a baby anymore. We love you so much!
