8 years!
10 years ago this month a young college girl met a newly stationed airmen and they fell in love....8 years ago TODAY they got married in a cute little white church on Luke AFB.
It's hard to believe that so much time has already passed...and we have such a beautiful family and life to show for it. We are very blessed. Happy anniversary honey, I love you!

New Babies!
My friend Jessica is having her first baby boy this summer...always nice to have someone else join the Mom club. Anne was an amazing hostess and made the shower absolutely perfect. We can't wait to welcome the lil' guy into the world.

Mini-warrior
Aiden found this grill utensil set to be an excellent make believe call-of-duty rifle of some sort. He sure has a big imagination...

Happy Easter 2012!
Nothing like making my family put on bunny ears and take photos. Can you imagine how happy Jason was with this? Easter was a good time this year. Aiden woke up early and came bedside to ask if the Easter bunny was still in the house. Once I assured him the Easter Bunny was no longer here, he was eager to go and find his basket.
He was very happy with his basket and was then rip-raring to go on his egg hunt. There was no time to pause. I barely was able to get shoes on the both of us! He did such a good job and I think the Easter Bunny will be able to hide those eggs a little harder next year. He was looking up in the tree and inside of things....he was really thinking about where they could be.
He enjoyed opening up all his eggs himself this year and you could tell each one was its own little present. He even had some money in some of the eggs and he put them straight in his pocket.
After the hunt Aiden enjoyed the bubble machine that the Easter Bunny brought and then we had some picture time. I had to bribe Aiden with candy and Jason played along to make me happy....so I'll take what I can get and be thankful. We got some good ones! Happy Easter!

Coloring Eggs
Today we colored eggs for the first time. This was the first year that he understood the process and was able to enjoy (and handle) the activity. He was really excited about it and did really well...he only plopped the egg in once and then got the hang of dropping it slowly. I was impressed. It helped to have the handy little egg grabber that I found at the store. The rabbit one was cute but the yellow one was the best idea ever, especially for a kid. Once they were done he wanted to just look at them and count them. He kept asking if they were dry and wanted to play with them...I had to keep taking them out of fridge so he could look at them. Super cute that boy is.

Mini-Vacation
This weekend we headed down to Tucson for a monster truck event and made it as much as a vacation as we could. We haven't been on a true vacation in a long while so we will take what we can get. We stayed over night and enjoyed the pool and even hit the Tucson Zoo. C'mon, would we not be the Rowe's if we didn't go to another zoo? Check another one off the list! We got down there and in true 21st century fashion the boys got comfy in the hotel...
Once I reminded them we could do that at home and we had fun to gettin' to we headed to food and then went to the Tournament of Destruction that was being held at the rodeo grounds. We got there pretty early and were the second ones in line. Jason and I don't think we've been second in line for anything in our lives, it was kind of cool (especially when you saw how crazy the line got later!). When we got in there we headed straight for the monster trucks. Avenger was there which was kind of Aiden's first big truck. Last April when we went out to Firebird he had met the driver there for the first time and had him sign his truck and shirt...this time we were able to have him sign his new paint job truck and the kids book he is featured in. We also saw Wrecking Crew, which was one of the first monster trucks he owned and then Nasty Boy, who he saw last year at Firebird as well. I think seeing the trucks up close and meeting the drivers is my favorite part...even I get excited! After the meet and greet we stayed for the show and saw racing, crushing, demolition derbies, and of course monster truck freestyle. It was a fun time.
Then today we woke up enjoyed the pool for a little while. It was actually not as hot as we thought so I was able to lay out in the sun for a bit, while the boys froze in the pool. Once the boys had enough, we headed for the zoo.
Time for the Zoo~ The baby elephant was my favorite!!
Is Tucson the ideal place for a vacation? Uh, no. However, it was nice to feel like we got away and did something different. We had lots of fun and Aiden did wonderful on the potty (no accidents!) and even started standing up to go pee. Such a big boy!
